Pat Klettke

For Pat Klettke, volunteer service began in Evansville, IN, where husband, Dwight, completed his three-year family practice residency. They moved to Salt Lake City, UT,, in 1980. Their daughter, Jennifer, was born in 1983. The family moved to the mountains of Summit Park in 1985.

Pat became involved in the Salt Lake County Medical Society Alliance in 1988 when she joined their bowling league, sang with the county Alliance group, the A-RHYTHMICS, and served on the county board. In 1990, Pat began volunteering with Girl Scouts of Utah (GSU). She held many leadership positions and completed Train the Trainer certification. In 2010, Pat received GSU’s Freddie Award, honoring her years of service to GSU and the community through the Alliance.

Pat served as the first chair of GSU Alumni and Friends from 2004 to 2010. She became president-elect of the county Alliance in 2004, progressed through state service, then began her national committee service. Since 2009, she has served as Health Promotions chair, director for three years, and secretary in 2013-14. She served on the AHEI board as vice chair and chair, 2015-18.

Sadly, Dwight died in 2012. Pat and daughter Jennifer live together in Salt Lake City with their four cats and sing in a quartet called Rebel Bass. Pat works for the association management company Next Wave Group.

As a member of the 2023 AMAA Leadership Academy cohort, Pat is looking forward to everything she can learn from and give to this experience.
