Beth Irish, R.N.
Director
Programs

Beth’s career as a Critical Care R.N., lasting almost 25 yrs., allowed for development of a knowledge base and economic understanding of the many issues confronting the patient and the people who provide their care. Since becoming active at the national level Alliance she has found a purpose and direction for working with healthcare policy and advocacy. Serving as the Alliance’s liaison to the AMA® Council on Legislation (COL) (2013-2021) now fuels that passion for support to the AMA physician and their family.
At the Oregon Medical Association, Beth is section chair for the Alliance, serving as a voting member on the OMA’s board of trustees. Active for the past 14 yrs. on the medical association’s Legislative Action Committee, her passion for medical advocacy is fueled at the local/state level. She also co-chairs the OMA Opioid Task Force with a physician.
Volunteer leadership experience included 16 years on the board of trustees for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon & SW Washington (RMHC)®where she led the House Operations team for 3 yrs. and chaired the board (BOT) in 2013.
Beth and her husband Ed, a retired general and non-cardiac thoracic surgeon live in Bend, Oregon where they enjoy outdoor activities, sunshine and their extended family and critters.
