- Public Health Awareness has been an essential part of the AMA Alliance mission since the organization’s inception. Stop America’s Violence Everywhere (S.A.V.E), launched in 1995, continues to be a pivotal program in teaching elementary aged children that “Hands Are Not For Hitting.” Opioid misuse education and physician burnout awareness are the AMA Alliances newest initiatives which address two epidemics having a profound effect on the health of communities all over America.
